Libraries, Aid and Developing Countries: A closer look at literacy, publishing and library dev.
There are many issues surrounding the development of libraries in developing countries.  The definitions of literacy vary around the world.  In Africa some libraries have been developed to support oral traditions that still remain. Some publishing industry concerns and challenges are overviewed particularly in the African continent.  Other issues addressed include book donation programs, collection development and aid for library development.
