"Bambara of Mali (BAHM-bah-rah)"

In December you prayed for T village that they might begin to meet regularly to worship and learn God’s Word. You also prayed for God to call out a man who could be a catalyst for bringing together a church. These prayers are being answered! In December, a woman missionary joined the Bambara Team. She began to assist the IMB missionary who had been working in T village on the OneStory project. Together, they have accomplished a substantial amount of work in testing and refining a large number of stories from the Bible. Villagers in T village have been meeting weekly with the missionaries to hear the stories, pray and sing together. Also, around February of 2009, a mature man in the village decided he wanted to “follow the Jesus road.” He seemed to have good spiritual understanding. In June, when the volunteer team from Florida came to visit the village, the team leader was able to spend much time with J, who also publicly professed his faith among his fellow villagers, with many unbelievers present. Several other men are asking questions about “the Jesus road” and counting the cost of following Him. Give thanks to God for these answers to prayer. gobambara.org
