"Southeast Asian Unengaged Peoples"
The largest unengaged people group in the Mon Khmer Cluster is the Kui. There have been several couples who have worked short term among the Kui in Thailand, but no long-term personnel are seeking to reach this people group, who can be found in the countries of Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. Until just recently, the Kui language had been largely unwritten, and a legend told of their ancient writings carved in pig skin being eaten by dogs. Most are highly animistic, but many also embrace the Buddhism of their neighboring cultures. Pray that laborers will be called to evangelize and disciple this highly oral people.
